I am having problems with this. I think it is malware. I keep getting bogus messages telling me I need to buy an antivirus program. Anyone know about this? My ESET scan indicated possible problems with variants of win32/Nuwar worm or win32/statik application.

Without testing the .exe file I can't say for sure but it does sound like malware.

The best thing to do is to follow this http://wiki.castlecops.com/MRP

After following the link above if you think you're still infected with malware please post a Hijackthis log in this forum.

I also suggest you install Windows Defender (if you use Windows XP), which is free and is available from http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
