Ultimate-Anonymity.com is one of the most annoying spammers on the net right now.

His modus operandi is to visit popular articles featured on social-news sites such as Digg.com and Reddit.com and add a quick superficial comment to the article along with an URL to his site, either directly to Ultimate-Anonymity.com or to a mirror/via a URL-redirection service.

Visit these Google searches to see some of this spam:

http://www.google.com/search?q=ultimate-anonymity.com

http://www.google.com/search?q=privacy-center.net

http://www.google.com/search?q=fireme.to/udi

http://www.google.com/search?q=an0n.mirrorz.com (shut down)

http://www.google.com/search?q=anondo.alturl.com

I've gathered some more info at http://ultimate-anonymity.blogspot.com/

The good news is: after a few days or so - your content will become the top-rated entry on google for that domain. Smile

Google has a habit of scanning and applying blogspot postings much more quickly than third party sites.

Keep posting to that blog, making specific references to his attempts to abuse google's search results and inevitably your blog will be the first thing that people see regarding that domain.

I've just received a message from Ultimate-Anonymity. They claim that the spammer is an associate reseller.

I wonder...

See the message on my site.

a) That's what they all say
b) Fortunately for you: that is no excuse.

They're a US-based company.

Under US CAN-SPAM law, thanks (specifically) to an amendment by none other than John McCain (the McCain Amendment,) they are not legally allowed to use that as any defence in a court of law, meaning you are in a great position to mention that should you prosecute, THEY would be the liable party.

Proof galore:

http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/5480.asp

Also, most importantly, there have been convictions under this amendment:

http://pubjunction.com/merchant-fined-for-affiliate-spam

Quote:
Merchants can be held responsible for the actions of their affiliates. According to McCain Amendment, vendors whose good are advertised in spam firmly on the hook even if an affilaite sent the spam.

Send THAT to whoever got back to you, and be very firm about saying "that is absolutely no excuse."

They're in the US, and they market via Email.

One of these days a class-action will be started against companies like this one. I can't wait for that day.

P.S. I am not a lawyer. (Nor do I play one on TV.)

What a dishonest person. Now he's back with his stupid manual comment spam. I would never buy his product. I wonder what kind of crap it is he's peddling, looks useless.

*bump*

Blog spam for Ultimate-Anonymity has sky rocketed in the past few months. Every article linked from digg and reddit that accepts user comments will feature at least one irrelevant, generic, Google-baiting message tag-lined with a URL that redirects to that website. The guy always posts as 'Jiff', 'Jess' or 'Jeff'.

It's incredibly obnoxious and it's really, really starting to get on my nerves.

I've been after this knuckle head for years. For the most part he utilizes disposable free URL (redirection sites) bulk spamming alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.* groups.

He seems to search out new untested/inexperienced Usenet servers to make his bulk spam floods from.

The sad part of his bulk spams though is he offers NOTHING other than the most mundane common knowledge.

That's one of the techniques he tries to use to prevent and/or make it difficult to report him.

Not very effective

THe key to reporting this knucklehead is to be as persistant as he is. Report each and everyone of his spams

Spammers think they're intelligent <smirk>

But then again what does it say about the people who fall for this crud?
