1. Ensure that your virus checker is up to date.
If you do not have a virus checker please try one of these online scanners Panda ActiveScan
Trend Micro Housecall
OR alternatively you can also download one of the free ones available
AntiVir(R)
AVG
***DO NOT run more then one Anti-Virus Product at a time***
IF you wish to purchase a Product from CastleCops please visit the Software Store we have products available from several different vendors.
Please run the update utility provided with your anti-virus product, to ensure you have the most recent definitions.
2. Scan your system
After you have run the update utility on your Anti-Virus product do a full system scan. This may take some time, allow the scan to run completely.
3. Create a new topic
In your new topic we need some information so we can help you better.
* The Anti-Virus product are you using (include version number)?
* The Virus, Worm, Trojan which was found. Please also include this in the subject line/title. (eg Worm/Bagle.AA worm)
* The symptoms your computer is displaying
Go to Hijackthis - Spyware, Viruses, Worms, Trojans Oh My! and Click the New Topic button in the top left corner of the forum. You may be asked for a hijackthis log, if so please follow the instructions in My homepage keeps changing, help!
4. Please DO NOT Private Message the Administrators or Moderators or other staff, doing so unless you are requested to will actually increase the time it takes to answer your post.
5. Please DO NOT post your email address in your post. Any posts which are found to contain personal information, email addresses etc which could be exploitable will be removed.
