Can anyone help me please? I am having trouble shutting down, I go to Start, Shutdown, dot in 'shutdown' click OK, and when it gets to the Windows is shutting down screen it 'hangs' and will do no more, I then have to re-boot and do it all over again and it goes straight away, I have tried to 'log off' first, no different, I have also downloaded a program called Slwadog Shutdown, some ones advise, but still the same, can anyone come up with any ideas?? be very grateful, Ann

Ann, what Operating System? This is not at all uncommon for 9x/ME machines, with a lot of different variables that could be causing it. If you give us your OS, that'll be a good place to start.
