Hi,

I have wupdater on my pc. I wonder if anyone can look at this log and tell me what i can do to remove it. It is stopping my browsers from loading any pages.

Hi Milo_milo_uk, welcome.
Are you sure that is your entire log ?

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

Only one addition: after doing all of the above and rebooting, also delete the PerfectNav folder in Program Files, which I gather the following O2 entry is referring to:

O2 - BHO: NavErrRedir Class - {A045DC85-FC44-45be-8A50-E4F9C62C9A84} - C:\PROGRA~1\PERFEC~1\BHO\PERFEC~1.DLL

Those damned 8.3 filename formats and then I was lazy and never looked up the proper name.

About BHOList, I just posted in the Spywareinfo Expert section. I know some work is in progress on the sites hosting the Lists, and Merijn may even ahve forgotten homself...

Well, as you're running a positively antiquated version of Internet Explorer, the very first thing to do would be to upgrade to IE 6.0 SP1.
Next, go to the Windows Update site, and download and install ALL security patches on offer, especially the Cumulative updates for IE and OE, and the Java/VM update.
That will fix innumerable bugs, update a large number of important system files, and plug many security holes.
